Honeymoon Ideas

We are in desperate need of honeymoon ideas! With Bryan starting his MBA program in August and the wedding in November we'll be aiming for either a Thanksgiving week honeymoon or sometime in late December. It's a weird time of year weather wise so I'm pretty sure we want to do something beachy and relaxing. Right now the contenders are Key West and St. Lucia, but I need your help with more ideas! Please let me know if you have any amazing honeymoon recommendations or can offer a review of Key West or St. Lucia.

Thank you thank you and have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I haven't been to either of those! I have heard that St. Thomas is a great place to visit too. You are making me want to go to the islands sooo bad right now! LOL We went to Alaska on our honeymoon. As bad as I wanted a tropical location, it ended up being one of the most beautiful, peaceful, wonderful trips I've ever been on. Wherever you go, I hope you have a great time!! :)

  2. I have never been to Key West or St. Lucia, but I am a huge fan of Playa Del Carmen! Good luck choosing!

  3. Those look beautiful! We stayed on Eagle Beach in Aruba, which was divine. BUT, it's the only place on Aruba that I think is recommendable, the other beaches being man-made and crappy. Aruba is only for people who want to truly bum around, there are not nearly as many excursion type activities for adventurous types as other places, but it was exactly what we were looking for, was a breeze to get to (check flight times on your potential locations, we had to rule out anywhere in the eastern Caribbean because it would take 24 hours of travel to get there from here), and was pretty affordable. Before you book, research hotel reviews on tripadvisor.com. I found that endlessly helpful. Have fun choosing!

  4. Turks and Caicos!! I've been there 3 times and it has been WONDERFUL every time. I cannot say enough good things about it. If you're interested, please email me and i'll be happy to spill it all out--good hotels, restaurants, etc. Good luck!!

  5. Went to Key West and stayed at the same hotel you have posted in March. It was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again!!!

  6. These places look awesome. Cruises are inexpensive and you get to visit a few different places. But these places seem nicer!
